Fractured Archive (TFA) Requirements and the While Guthix Sleeps Checklist

The Fractured Archive (TFA) has one confirmed entry requirement: you must complete While Guthix Sleeps. There are no extra skill, quest point or combat level gates for the raid itself. The work is in While Guthix Sleeps, a very long Grandmaster quest with its own skill checks, quest chain and three hard fights. This checklist covers all of it.

The one requirement is While Guthix Sleeps

Jagex confirmed in its launch blog that the raid is gated behind While Guthix Sleeps. Once you finish the quest, a messenger brings you a note on login that points you to the entrance at the bottom of the Chasm of Tears.

You need these ten quests done first. Several have their own chains (Defender of Varrock alone has eight direct prerequisites), so check your quest list before you start.

The three fights that stop most players

• Surok Magis (level 265): magic only, since he protects from melee and ranged. You counter his specials with specific spells, so bring runes for elemental spells, Snare or Entangle, Weaken or Enfeeble, Telekinetic Grab and Alchemy.
• The Balance Elemental (level 524): switches between all three combat styles and prays against yours late in the fight. You need gear for all three styles and fast prayer switching.
• Two Tormented Demons: fought straight after the Balance Elemental, with your stats boosted by the Stone of Jas.

The OSRS Wiki recommends combat level 95 for the quest.

Recommended stats and gear for the raid itself

Jagex hasn't set stat requirements for the raid. Our raiders recommend combat level 90+ and high-tier gear for all three styles. Bring a full set of supplies: there is no Overload and no banking once you are inside. We will update this section with real setups after our first clears.

How to get to the Fractured Archive

The entrance is on a cliff face near the Ancient Guthixian Temple, at the bottom of the Chasm of Tears. Use Guthixian temple teleport scrolls until you get the Archivist's Folio, an untradeable raid reward that teleports you back.

Restricted accounts and Ironmen

Accounts on restricted builds that can't complete the While Guthix Sleeps unlock path won't get in at launch, and Jagex hasn't said when that will change. Ironmen are not locked out: an Ironman with While Guthix Sleeps done can enter like any other account.

The fastest path into the raid

1. Check your quest list against the table above.
2. Train any missing skills.
3. Finish the prerequisite chain, then While Guthix Sleeps.
4. Stock supplies and gear for all three combat styles.
5. Group up in the lobby, or book a carry.
