The Fractured Archive has eight confirmed rewards. The headline drop is the Obligator, a crush megarare Jagex puts on the same level as the Scythe of Vitur. Alongside it come Zeal, an upgrade to Piety, three tradeable weapons and shields, two untradeable items and a new resource, Ascension shards. Here is what each one does.

The Obligator, the crush megarare

The Obligator is the raid's rarest drop and its main reason to farm. It is a crush weapon that rolls its damage several times, depending on how weak the target is to crush compared with the other melee styles, so it hits consistently hard against the right enemies.

  • Lunge: a 5-tick attack with a range of 3. It makes up to 5 damage rolls and can hit up to 3 enemies standing on the same tiles or in a straight line.
  • Smash: a faster 3-tick attack that gives up the extra rolls and the multi-target hit.
  • Charges: the Obligator uses Ascension shards.

During the reward polls it was called the TzHaar-Ket Breaker. That name was dropped, and some sites still use it.

Zeal, the Piety upgrade

Zeal adds a further 5% Attack and Strength on top of Piety. The item that unlocks it is tradeable, but Jagex says unlocking it takes more than reading a scroll at a bank, and hinted that the Record Keeper in the raid lobby is involved.

Rondache, a shield that stores the damage it blocks

The Rondache is a tradeable shield that reduces incoming melee, ranged and magic damage by 2. The damage it absorbs is stored as charges, which you can release with a Shield Bash special attack that has no delay.

Zorya's Tome

Zorya's Tome is a tradeable, two-handed book that casts spells every three ticks. Its main purpose is its special attack, which fills you with arcane energy for a series of fast hits with extra damage and accuracy.

Ascension crossbows and Ascension bolts

The Ascension crossbows are a tradeable pair of dual-wielded crossbows. Jagex describes them as a raid-tier upgrade to the Toxic Blowpipe. They fire only Ascension bolts, which are made from Ascension shards. Gem-tipped Ascension bolts trigger their effects at half the usual chance, and only some gem types will be available at launch.

The untradeables: Elemental fragments and the Archivist's Folio

  • Elemental fragments add 2 to your base max hit for their element. Because the boost is to base max hit, it also benefits from Magic damage bonuses and elemental weaknesses. Jagex added protection against duplicates, so you shouldn't end up with a pile of fragments for one element.
  • The Archivist's Folio teleports you back to the raid. You charge it with Ascension shards, and Jagex says the rate is generous.

Neither item can be bought on the Grand Exchange, so the only way to get them is to clear the raid.

Ascension shards

Ascension shards are a stackable resource. You get them from the raid, or slowly by mining the Ascension rocks in the lobby between runs. They charge the Archivist's Folio and the Obligator and are used to make Ascension bolts. Their market price will decide a large part of the raid's regular loot value.

How loot is shared

  • Each of the three door pairs gives the same raid points, so the bosses you choose don't change your chance at a unique.
  • Damage you deal to adds counts towards your share of a room, but each room has a fixed amount to give out, so stalling a fight doesn't farm points.
  • Jagex is aiming for regular loot slightly below Theatre of Blood, and says it will adjust it if prices settle far from that goal.

Rewards that were dropped

Two ideas from the reward polls didn't make it into the raid: a melee and magic hybrid armour set, and the Gatekeeper's Cane, which was reworked into Zorya's Tome. If you see a page selling a chance at a hybrid set or a TzHaar-Ket Breaker, it is working from old information.
